Background Approximately 6% of patients with sciatic nerve pain have piriformis syndrome Source. Sciatic nerve pain is often debilitating, leading to symptoms such as extreme pain, numbness, and weakness. After my experience dealing with piriformis syndrome long term I would define piriformis syndrome as an unmet medical need.] because there is not an extensive playbook that clinicians have to help their patients.
In piriformis syndrome, the piriformis muscle irritates the sciatic nerve leading to symptoms such as pain, numbness, and weakness down the leg.
HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Testing

Introduction I decided I wanted to build a floorplan mapping robot because: 1. It sounded like a fun side project. 2. Who doesn’t want to build robots.
The backbone of the project right now is the HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance sensor, an inexpensive yet surprisingly accurate noncontact sensor. Much like other cheap sensors, there is not a large amount of formal documentation related to the sensor. Before I could get an accurate distance map, I needed to qualify the sensor so I created an engineering report.
Simple visualizations to improve decisions

All of us have been confronted with a decision at work that has a lot of uncertainty surrounding it. Try as we might, we cannot always remove the clouds around the future before we make the decision. In situations like these, there is nobody that can make the decision with the best outcome every single time. The best that we can do is choose the pathway with the best expected outcome from the information available to us.

Mechanical engineering background - Focused on customer driven product development.
My professional interests include product development, healthcare system improvement, and smart decision making in uncertain situations. I love to speak with customers and stakeholders about how to make things better.
To attack these problems, I employ a mixture of data visualization, process improvement strategies, and deep literature searches. Usually, I use Python with matplotlib or charting the process to illuminate the path for solving the problem at hand.
